COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

What can AUSNA do for you?

Pictured above (left) is AUSNA Marketing Chair Haylee Denney preparing to administer a vaccine and (right) Boone Student Nurse Association President Katelyn Chumbley and AUSNA President Hilary Hamilton draw up Johnston & Johnson vaccination doses.

DMACC partnered with Hy-Vee to distribute 1,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on April 8, 2021.

The clinic priority was for all DMACC full-time and part-time faculty and staff members to sign-up to get vaccinated. Once those commitments were filled, the remaining available vaccination appointments were opened up to DMACC students and other members of the DMACC community.

A total of 32 DMACC and Grand View University nursing students, as well as DMACC Paramedic students, assisted Hy-Vee pharmacists, who administered the vaccines.

AUSNA leadership were notified several days prior to this event and were able to clear their schedule to sign up for slots as soon as they were available.

Join AUSNA to stay ahead of the loop and get the heads up on amazing opportunities like these!
